This course provides an overview of the theory and practice of community planning and land administration in Nunavut. This online course is open to those who are interested in gaining an introductory understanding of community planning and land administration, with an emphasis on the role of the municipal Planning and Lands Administrator (PLA). Topics include the guiding territorial planning policies, community plans, zoning by-laws, land administration by-laws, survey plans, and land file management systems. This course will provide a hands-on training opportunity that guides the student through the various data entry and reporting screens using Sage 300 version 2025, with a focus on troubleshooting and more complex tasks.Pre-requisite - Introduction to Sage 300 Accounting System with a passing grade of 90% or higher, and at least 6 months experience working in Sage 300.please Note: This course is offered online. Participants need to work in an environment that uses Sage 300 and have access to a computer currently running this software. There must be access to the internetand either a phone line or headset connected to a computer in order to participate interactively in the training. Having two monitors is also highly recommended.
This five-day, hands-on course will provide Firefighters with Firefighter Level 1 skill practice. During this five-day course, the Instructor will collaborate with the Chief and Firefighters to design the learning around what the fire department needs to work on.The firefighters will work on basic skills and build confidence through completing multiple evolutions under the direction of the Instructor. This course is designed for up to 10 students.
ICS 200: Basic Incident Command System—is the next level after ICS 100 and goes deeper into how ICS is actually applied during an incident. There are two parts: an online self-paced course followed by a TEAMS in-person session with a trainer to get certifieed. To register you must have ICS 100 certification. What ICS 200 is ICS 200 builds on ICS 100 and focuses on managing initial response actions, especially when:Incidents grow beyond a single responderMultiple agencies or departments are involvedA formal command structure is required

Topics include planning & developing new lots, land pricing, land revenue invoicing and collection, property taxation and assessment, negotiating and enforcing land contracts.
