The Nunavut Municipal Training Organization (MTO) is a non-profit society formed in 2003 as a partnership between the Nunavut Association of Municipal Administrators (NAMA) and the Government of Nunavut Department of Community and Government Services.
Our mandate is to identify, develop, and implement programs to provide municipal staff with skills and knowledge that can contribute to excellence in municipal program and service delivery across the territory of Nunavut.
MTO hosts all sorts of exciting programs, trainings and courses every month. Don't forget to check our calendar and upcoming events for what's to come.
We've got a new look! We are excited to launch the new MTO website to enable our visitors the best experience possible.
The new website is easy to navigate breaking programs into 4 sections: Safety Services, Emergency Management, Online Training and Customized Training.
MTO bases its operations out of Iqaluit. Due to the recent announcement of the presence of Covid-19, in Iqaluit, MTO’s day to day operations have been affected. As of now, online courses and course development will proceed as scheduled. Any participants registered for in person training should contact MTO for the latest updates. MTO will be reassessing as public health provides updates.
