Elijah Tigullaraq from Qikiqtani School Operations: Inuit Qaujumajatuqangit Corner

 


The Nunavut Municipal Training Organization is proud to offer selected stories and articles with an Inuit Qaujumajatuqangit perspective by Elijah Tigullaraq.


Elijah Tigullaraq works with the Qikiqtani School Operations as a bilingual language consultant and has graciously allowed the MTO to post his stroies and articles on our website for all to see.


Elijah provides a unique perspective and relates stories of important moral and social importance from the persepctive of a bilingual Inuk living in the community of Pond Inlet.

Access to Information/Protection of Privacy Sessions

On behalf of the Department of Executive and Intergovernmental Affairs with the Government of Nunavut the MTO is putting forth this advertising for interested persons to attend training seminars on Access to Information/ Protection of Privacy Sessions.


There is no funding avaliable from the MTO to assist municipalities with attending these sessions. Please contact Jessica Bell at 867-975-6044 or Jessica.Bell@gov.nu.ca for further information

Municipal Invoices Due to MTO by Friday, 30 March 2012

The MTO would like municipalities to submit their invoices for reimbursement of costs incurred from taking MTO training.  These costs will need to be substantiated with backup for the MTO to process your reimbursement.


Airline Travel - Include your receipt from the airline.  Municipal Purchose Orders will not be accepted as backup


Accommodations - Include all hotel receipts


Per Diems - Include proof that this was paid to your staff.  A cheque stub is acceptable.

The MTO website will now advertise employment opportunities with municipalities in Nunavut.

Check back often and regularly for the most up-to-date employment opportunites.  Please check each ad for how to apply.  The MTO does not process applications for employment; these will usually be sent directly to the municipality.
