Description :

The Municipal Training Organization will conduct a Class 3 Air Brakes training in your community. The Hamlet of Gjoa Haven and the MTO have opened up this training to municipal staff and the general public but space is limited!


The Hamlet and the KIA will share seats in this course. Class 3 Air Brakes training provides the skills & knowledge for new drivers to test for their license. It gives licensed drivers enhanced safety & vehicle management skills.



  • KIA sponsored participants must be residents of Gjoa Haven, registered under the Nunavut Agreement. Priority will be given to applicants registered with the Kitikmeot Region.
  • Possess a valid class 5 driver license for at least one year.


Successful candidates will have to pass a medical examination


Closing Date for Applications – June 26, 2024 . If sufficient applications are received, the closing date may be shortened, so apply early!
