The Municipal Training Organization is happy to announce with the assistance of Culture, Language, Elders and Youth the inclusion of a Recreation Facility Operators Course in Iqaluit, November 1 to 5, 2011 in our training program this year.

The 5 day Recreation Facility Operators Course will cover 3 basic needs for Facility grassroots workers.  The first workshop is a 2 day hands on Arena Maintainer Level 1 which will include ice painting, patching of holes and cracks, flooding and edging techniques, installing logos, and board maintenance. The second workshop is 1 day and will cover Life Cycle / Risk Management: understanding the life cycle of your facility and identifying and dealing with risk issues. The week will finish up with a 2 day workshop on Supervisory Skills; participants will gain an understanding of managing themselves, managing work, managing people and managing situations.
